Privacy policy

Effective date: 2026-05-11

Testing Life in the UK ("the app") is a study aid for the Home Office Life in the UK Test.

Plain English summary

The app does not collect any data about you. Everything you do — answers, sessions, progress — stays on your device. The app has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and does not connect to the internet at all during normal use.

What data the app stores on your device

When you use the app, the following are saved locally in your device's app container:

This data never leaves your device. You can wipe it any time from Settings → Reset all data.

What the app does NOT do

System-level data

iOS itself may collect anonymised crash reports if you have Share with App Developers turned on in your device settings. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours, and we receive only aggregated, anonymised crash diagnostics through App Store Connect — never anything tied to you personally.

Children

The app is suitable for users of any age but is designed for adults preparing for citizenship. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone, including children, because we do not collect data at all.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app introduces any feature that involves data collection (e.g. an optional iCloud sync), this policy will be updated and the change will be clearly flagged in the in-app What's new notes for that release.
